Art takes a very intense type of focus. It also takes enormous energy. To be the artist I want to be requires that I do only my art. The problem is that I have not been born independently wealthy and must work to put a roof over my head. Ideally speaking, I want to do only my art. I haven't learned how to successfully juggle work and art. If I work, my art suffers. If I don't work, I suffer enormous stress because I can't pay my bills. Everything becomes a compromise. I don't feel an artist can do it all. That has been my experience Christine

Hi Christine - I'm very glad to join your forum. Your words are big words for thinking. I would like to play the piano in the pit. Where I live is Vienna, Austria. I hope I can. If I can't, I'll be sunk. Kiki

Hi Christine, I got a mail so i can answer it for people who never were in my city. Yes, a pit is below the singer or dancers. It is dark there but you get a good view of stage and I tried it two x's. As far as the work in music ( I don't know about design art ) I would think it is quite like a troop of people you would want to work around. People watch the perfomer art and listen so yes we have a good in Vienna. He is so excellent I hope i can meet him before he gets to old to do it. They said he will quit in 2010. But he is inspiration for me I will watch him Kiki P.S. Name Ozawa

Hi Kiki Thanks fo much for joining Art Music Exchange. It's difficult to find one's niche as an artist. Accompanying is a wonderful collaboration between pianist and singing. It is initmate and powerful. Some of the most magnificent music I've heard and been a part of has been in that medium. I, as a pianist, have done a good amount of collaboration and have been transformed by it. The music is a sheer joy and adding one's artistry to that of a singer is tantamount to spirituality. So wonderful to hear from you. Christine

Christine, You have such a serious idea for advertising I hope people can try it if they are not on U2ube or Myspace. I've seen those ( i just got back from choir practice)--some people have a ton of money and a lot of time they can do what they want. I"ll tell you what tho as far as music is concerned, I would probably not like that style because I think I would rather be in the middle and have enough and still have my time for cooking or the sick people. Just not kids, no thanks. I can see now the people come on to see about what they could put up since no members really write it's ok tho. I dont talk as much as my father at least . He preaches 3 a week. too much at home i wish he wouldn't talk so much. I can't move out yet not enough money and as far as the other stuff I do not like a mess around. That's not my job to pick up after .Have a nice sleep whenever you have it. Kiki P.S. Did you ever have to play all the hymns in the whole hymn book ?? I did . Change the keys if old people cannot sing high. I dont know why they sing at a slow pace. I'm almost over it.

Good evening, Christine. I hope you had a good day today though it is not easy like your firt subject introduced. I notice that the guest is most interested in this one topic before I came on here as well. So what you say must be important. In this old old country, music was written before the electricity, and travel means of quick. Now technology increased so people are buzzing in circles more. I see two butterfly yesterday when I go to the outside cafe--they look in the love of flying around our lunch and coming and going. I thought it was a nice sign that the beauty still exist. The beauty comes right to where you are and are nourish body for strength. That is the real beauty how was it created in the beautiful wings of the two butterflies ? It would take some effort to create such a original creative compose. I like bunnies and cats do you ? You would need atmosphere for the area around you I would agree. I don't think a treehouse would cost to much.k

On this topic I come back a few times Christine because you write to the members they can write. Thankyou for your note so I do . But it takes the dare. When we moved I was small my mother returned for the church from former place and some lady said to her " we are glad you moved, now my daughter can play the piano, before it was only your daughter". I remember my mother was a shock and she was hurt, but now in my life I see it many times unless you get in the real larger place. In the larger place you would know many of those type of people would know who they are and you know who you are. I think Dare to be Artist is one of the great title i have seen, because the expression against people who wish they would be your talent is a huge battle for even the whole world. It is a mystery but not a mystery if you hear Chopin, Bach, Brahms, Debussy, Tchaikovsky, and many others from other country, I also like the simple one like Aaron Copland, not simple but for the furniture of the mind, yes. k

CHRISTIN I WRITE IN CAPS BECAUSE I SEE 54 PEOPLE ON THE LINES RIGHT NOW. SO I would say you have the idea questions. I do not have answers and people do not have them but they think about your question I think so I came back to this one. I am one of the 54 so only 53 would write this one at this hour right now. Unless you are member maybe you cannot see this information. Many thoughts I was thinking like I get from you one short email from you about invite me I can write ok. Thankyou. Music would be a international languages for many people -- now I heard the Broadway lady for now she is 80 years old birthday . Barbara Cook--you look up this name. She sound beautiful on the "No one is Alone". I have heard of one friend in NYC he knows these shows which is American mainly. George Gershwin and now Stephen Sondheim, that is the one who wrote the song. Oh it is beautiful because no one is alone. You can reach to the people in the music. Dont forget keep composing because people do not know yet you are a composer. I would wait for the next commercial idea you are team up with the rap one . I dont want to let the cat out of bag yet. BTW Christin-- what are the name of your cats and bunnies. My cat I had two -- her name was Sadie. I miss her a lot-- She ate a lot of mice as many as she could find. Did you ever watch the lions on Africa Channel they are hunters. My cat was like that. She just die too soon . I dont wanna talk about it but as for the one I have now. She sleeps a lot but she is over 16. I dont wanna put her name on internet in case someone try to find her. ha ha just kidding. When I use the keyboard she jumps on my hands to stop me. I put her down, and she jumps back on me right away. She doesn't care if I put her down she jumps back up like a game. I love her very much, but i never had a bunnies. Better keep the same or too many babies you know what I mean. Christine I am glad I wrote you . Come back soon for writing when you can. kk/ll p.s. time for more lemonade. yes Christine you can do it all. with friends you can do it all. just keep nice friends. no smarty pants ones.
