I've wondered some about you youngsters in the 60 age bracket. I'm not a centurion yet but I do plan ahead for my family. If I were still engaged in the counseling of college students I'd 40 years younger so I don't do that anymore. but speaking to some of you 60 year old kids I've wondered if maybe you aren't throwing your hands up a bit too soon when it comes to your ideas. It seems to me you should be plowing your fields and getting them ready for a harvest rather than running off to an apartment with old folks. George Frederick Patton

It you youngsters did not go to Normandy in France you did not see what Adolf Hitler began and ended himself.

yes i did hear about this sad sad child with bad back story who spread it around envied of HOMES of loving. that's so sad. gained control of his own destiny and many who (not that many) who actually believed the tale that he had a good job. at the end they showed the children he hurt.and since he did see it coming he wanted to have his last deed.what i do with information like that is love my family. and do not depend on morse code to save the ship. it already sunk. you could hear it in the voice of the sad children. kiki

what a truly fascinating comment placed by someone such as yourself ms.kiki..how astute you are for a lassie of tender age. i would most certainly like to add that my sunflowers are now 14 feet high..and not without the dry air would be they so large and happy..but when we travel to the near mediterranean..we look at our lovely fuschia ice plants lining the bank and wonder just how little apple tree manages so well...life is all around in the gardens and the plants...and of course...the bushes..our peach tea roses our very favorites..i think that harsh weather is difficult...it certainly is for the wood of a fine instrument and the heating bills astronomical..at the north pole...(or the south pole)...so we have chosen the summer near one ocean and the winter which wanders in such close proximity to all three...high and low...trickling and flowing...blanketing and flanneling...but most of all...watching the youngsters as they ponder the defensive vs the offensive in approaching violators of protocol... i once had a most interesting teacher when i was in the eighth grade (america)...who had a foam coming out of his quiet little tight mouth (but you could see the bubbles of the foam)...as he said breathing in deeply ...THIS PLACE SOUNDS LIKE GRAND CENTRAL STATION...I EXPECT TO NEVER HEAR IT SOUND LIKE THIS AGAIN....the children ( i was one of them...and knew about the dirt basement below as i had been sent down there a few times for my acts of mis-havior and tendency toward juvenile delinquency ..so i was told by him)...began to think about a way that they could soon create the GRAND CENTRAL STATION ATMOSPHERE BECAUSE TO US IT WAS EXCITING and we had never heard of it....It was I...yes ...I ..who decided that after the next recess....after being hot and sweaty...( and smelly..some of the boys...at least)...from playing baseball..would arrive back in the classroom all HUMMING.....if we were all to hum...WHAT COULD HE DO ? HE COULDN'T PICK ON JUST ONE...BUT JUST LOOK AROUND WITH HIS BEEDY EYES AT THE PERSON HE THOUGHT MOST LIKELY FIT FOR THE DUNGEON BELOW...( USUALLY ME BUT i had some progjects down there in the dirt and my work was all done anyway)...so we came in....and we started humming.... he began a new dance....one of pacing around in a circle around his desk....until he finally plopped down onto his desk chair...only to stick to a a huge blob of bazooka bubble gum...which i personally had placed there.....whilst he was busy taking that off his rather large derierre....we continued to hum....and i signaled for a crescendo...( the start of my conducting career)....and the hum got louder and louder...no particular pitch was needed although i noticed we all eventually found approximately the same pitch....and lo and behold....NOTHING HAPPENED.... HE WAS BAFFLED.... now we ...my wife and I and I ..enjoy the antics of our grandchildren...as they bring us buckets of fresh berries.....and my wife bakes the pies.....oh such fun we have....as old folks....no bills because we have all of our money between the mattresses and our houses are paid off....and we eat what the bears don't have time to eat.... we don't kill anything...for our food....and bring the food from our flats garden ..up into the forest where we have creeks .....no bugs.... never challenge a classroom....they will always outwit you....enjoy your classroom....challenge yourself to take each and everyone one in for his/her special talent....and your classroom will be huge and filled with chocolate cupcakes....JOHN HERRING. (with my wife-mother-and grandmother of our brood)........she's preparing a picnic now....
