I was on a cruise, recently..Christine..saw several areas covered...classical, oldies, and of course bands showcasing 50's 60's etc. On another thread I mention the manager element..which I've observed some in the past five years or so..watching them as they navigate around the country touring..What tough tough work...touring..How in GOD"S name do these people do this, with only a small feeling of home after the work is over..I've seen the buses, even...for me ...that would be worse...Not good with the motion sickness thing.. Really did enjoy the cruise until we hit the open water...so much for cruises...and working on them .. The internet is really truly still finding its wings...but one huge beauty of it is that you can seek and find...and I truly think that is what you are trying to do here...One isn't always exactly sure what one is looking for...but no matter the specific ...the feeling I think should always be primarily joy and openness...and encouragement.... Maybe that's possibly why I still look at the teachers, preachers, and healers....perhaps ...all one and the same ...when it comes to music...the internet allows us to say HELLO WORLD....did you see the blogger...My software doesn't seem to allow a response...to him/her..but I thought it was a charm. The internet is worldwide...but performing live still has value...hence need for performers to travel...More are getting fussy with who they take to cook for them...too....LOL....Just felt like coming back to say hi....Christine...I think your cell is sleeping....:-) Georgeann

Hi Kiki Every few centuries I think it's a very good idea to clean house. Get rid of dead, dried up ideas. Sweep away the entrenched order and simply go back to basics. Melody, harmony, form, color, texture all created so the ear can comprehend it. I think we're due for a thorough cleaning. And it's not going to come from the what has been. Tough, tough day. no rocket science that we are deep and true friends--christine..no surprise that your words ring so true today. was noting the mannerisms of Richard Branson..recently..meaning what comes from a person who has been creative his way..i admire him... negative turning to positive because there's been a turf change. beethoven had 'issues' ..did someone help him solve them or did he just sit down and write his ninth symphony ? always wonder about people who censor people and have historically viewed the nazi's...wasn't there...didn't know hitler personally. but creativity has met many 'no' people...and moved on to create better stuff as a result...the tough day will make you stronger ..christine... i dont think this is as personal as it is universal or i wouldn't reponsd to it this way...yet it's personal...the struggle out of the dictators' opinions....and the little guy who says you can't...creates inertia...not bad....not bad ...at all.....later. (hang in..christine..we all have at least 10 aliases in us...the creative people probably have 10,000...hopefully harm is not the intent...but simply a way of respondng to "you can't do that.." few questions on the adjective......RABID...first heard it from an esteemed musician who had inadvertently become a 'rock star'..now i understand the concept of fanatic clubs. they've been known to suck people up...so i've heard. i would say stay as far away as you can. i've skipped concerts to avoid them. georgeann_hfd@yahoo.com
