here's where its the same seven year old ballo wax though..well more than seven...more like since the beginning of aural time when they composed their stuff...his group..the buzz is the same...the place where you think..creates a bond with the listener....it was a new thing for me to learn...because the cameras ..home spun though they were..had been on me...and you send out appreciation to your listeners...you feel them..its a buzz..its a high level of sensuality..its a bond..when you listen you're not as sure....because you are part of a crowd...sending it back..my focus had always been..( was reviewing some tapes..video and audio both recently)...adding my softness to history..and i am a poetic person if i do say so myself...i make it easy and natural for my players...saw a Handel Messiah..standard fare..that I did ...and i could see the influence of the great conductor Tom Dunn...in Symphony Hall where I was part of a small chorus...I'd observed the best..then listened to a most wonderful lieder audio...my composer..Schubert....one I've spent much time loving along with a collaborative singer..and I spent so much time with fine singers back then..the audio was New England Conservatory so the lush subtlties blew me away...the interplay...my own...but here's the important part...you can only do so much checking yourself out...listening objectively..which btw is easy to do ...for most musicians...they're all pretty tough on themselves actually...the buzz comes from the connection...to listener from performer....and i'm not inferring that the communication is an act. it's not...the emotions are felt....the bond is permanent...it is what it is forever...in some cases ..singularly..one person can take your heart..its possible...and if you don't believe it...try turning away..its too painfully rediculous...you turn around and go and hear the talent again..and its as great as it was for you the first time...greater...that's the real stuff....it has a solid top shelf...such has been my experience....

my experience also was that i retired from playing/directing after 34 years..except a few spotty gigs..like a cruise ship and hotel lobbies and such...(a hotel in whistler as a matter of fact soooooo pretty)....so if i work its on miniatures...my idol mr hall probably influenced me in that way. i prefer listening as work now...but its not real work unless you are hired..and i know that..i never know when christine is gonna take this down..because she's all but forgot about it..i think...also working on an alternate new career...or shall we say money earning..its wonderful if you enjoy what you do...changes coming up.
