I was going through some more audio tapes the other day and finally found some things i had been looking for. one was the 'stacked the deck' performance in Jordan Hall where I played as a solo pianist as well as a collaborative pianist ..in that order. First time ever done at New England Conservatory..It was a competition and I won. I played for a half hour..give or take..This is definitely about Daryl Hall. He is hands down a great interpreter ..grazed through the Kenny G collab the other day as well...didn't want to because I'm still withdrawaing from having decided NOT to hear him live anymore..It's been a very tough decision but it's something about his personal life..and not whether he's on or off his on or off relationship..if he has one ..It's something else..I missed taking note of their Atlanta opener of this present tour leg..looks like about seven concerts...That'll pay a few bills and they'll enjoy it ..especially he will though with torn emotions ..as they all will have from time to time missing T Bone..Such a blow !!!! Such a fine artist is Daryl Hall...so so fine...I've not heard finer...ever. Music interpretation is subjective and to even say that someone is the finest is completely biased and often momentary...but for over seven years i've felt this way...and the withdrawal is very painful..I suffer with it every day..but fans should want to meet ( or re-meet) fans...that's my issue..he lives in a fan world...and i don't..so there's not a thing i can do about that. It's also none of my business why he lives in that world, exclusively--it would appear to me. so far. georgeann peterson
